Underwood

Molly Underwood, RN, is a registered nurse and the co-founder of a1 Family Psychiatry based in Lincoln, Nebraska. 

Born and raised in a small farming town in Nebraska, Molly brings a deep sense of community, resilience, and heart to everything she does. She has spent the past 13 years caring for families and newborns in the NICU, walking alongside them during some of their most vulnerable moments. Molly’s love for people and culture has taken her across the United States and even abroad, enriching her perspective and deepening her empathy. These experiences, paired with her unwavering belief that everyone deserves to be treated with love, respect, and equality, have fueled her passion for mental health care.

Now, back in her Nebraska roots, Molly is committed to creating a safe, compassionate space where families can receive the mental health support they need and deserve.

Outside of work, you’ll find her running, getting lost in a good book, spending time with family and friends, or lending a hand on the family farm that has been in the family for the last century.
